Game theory studies strategic interaction in competitive and cooperative environments. Half a century old, it has already revolutionized economics, and is spreading rapidly to a wide variety of fields.Game Theory Society Founded in January 1999, the Game Theory Society aims to promote the investigation, teaching, and application of game theory.
Every four years the Society hosts its World Congress. The first was held in Bilbao, Spain in 2000. The second was held in Marseille, France in 2004 and the third was on the Evanston Campus of Northwestern University, in the United States. The fourth World Congress will be held in July 2012 at Istanbul Bilgi University, in Istanbul, Turkey.
